Do You Have Credit Card Debt
It takes a lot today to stay financial stable. The world is full of pretty and shiny things calling your name. And all you need is a credit card and it can be yours, but at what price? Credit card debt management should be your top priority. Credit cards are something that should not have a balance at the end of the month.
If you have debt and are not able to pay it off in a reasonable amount of time, a nonprofit debt management plan is something you may want to consider. They are administered by consumer credit counseling organizations and can have you debt free in five years or less.
Getting rid of your debt is just part of your financial plan. It should also include a plan for funding an account that will cover unplanned expenses. One hundred dollars a month will get you started until you are able to come up with more money for your liquid savings plan.
You do not necessarily need a strict budget, but you cannot spend more than you make. If you like “things”, having easy access to credit cards may not be in your best interest. Only you can keep your credit card use under control. Carrying balances on credit cards can cost you a lot of money.
A few simple rules will make credit debt management something that most people can do with a little bit of thought. If it is not essential to your life, think twice before you buy. Financial security will mean a whole lot more to you in the end than that nee pair of shoes or the latest piece of electronics to hit the market.
