Updating Your Bathroom Design For The New millennium

Your bathroom is one of the most used but less cared for rooms in your home. It’s the first room you step into each morning after you wake up and usually the last room you walk out of just before you hit the sheets and doze off. But you don’t always take care of this room - or not as much as you do for other rooms like your bedroom or kitchen. Nope your poor old bathroom gets a raw deal everytime. It’s true for most homes though - the bathroom is usually the last room you think of doing anything with to update it.

What most people tend to forget though is that your bathroom says an awful lot about you when other people see it. That outdated sink and bath tub with the crusty green faucets doesn’t say good things about you eh? Or the moldy tiles on the wall or the industrial carpet on the floor that’s seen better days. Your bathroom is one of the most public rooms in your house so maybe giving it a facelift and looking at some of the new bathroom designs out there that you can take some hints from is something you should be thinking about?

There are lots of different bathroom design ideas that you can put into use almost straight away. You can overhaul the entire bathroom or just do a quick update by fitting a tiled floor and replacing the ancient tub with a new clawfoot type of tub and the antique sink with a swanky new vessel basin style of sink. Or if you’re using a shower you could just fit a rainforest shower head - these will definitely make you come alive every time you take a shower.

You can also keep this DIY project really simple and just give your bathroom a new coat of paint - a nice warm pastel shade. Try to avoid using blue paint on a bathroom - it can make it feel oddly cold. Warm colors are just better.

Just a few small changes can make all the difference - go on you know you want to have a bathroom you can be proud of.
