Any one know of some good bands/Dj’s/artists based in southern California to play a show?

I’m renting out one of my favorite venues, and I am looking for local (Los Angeles) based bands that are fairly well known to play my show. (Or well known bands that are willing to play private events, such as Fu Manchu, or the Aquabats)

I am also considering hiring new bands or small bands for this event. Though I will need either a demo of their work, or a live audition (a show currently planned, or I can arrange for a space to play.)

There isn’t a particular genre of music that I am looking for. I’m interested mainly in bands and DJ’s to do sets between bands.
