What can we do to help the firefighters in Southern California?

I want to show my appreciation for what these heroes are doing in protecting lives and property against wild fires in Southern California.
I am in Texas and I want to say Thank you to those fighting the fires in California.
Something directly to the firestation doesn’t seem logical as I’m sure there are numerous stations out there.

Is there an orginization out there taking care of the firefighters, making sure they have plenty of drinking water, food, etc?

Pray that they don’t get hurt.
Send a card to the station thanking them.

    Dont play with matches.
    They will appreciate that.

The best way you can say thank you to our firemen is being responsible and I also like the idea of sending their fire station a nice Thank You card !
There was a time, only 6 years ago, we could send cookies/cakes to the fire station but today there is danger of poisoning on everyone’s mind.

    1. Use drought tolerant landscaping, and keep the brush and undergrowth cleared away from slopes and areas not within the landscaped area.
    2. Conserve water so it is available in an emergency.
    3. Encourage the Forrest Services to use preventative burns in controlled situations in order to reduce the tinder available in a wild-fire.
    4. Anywhere fire is a hazard, use fire-resistant building materials like tile roofing and masonry or stucco exteriors instead of shake-shingles and board baton siding.
    5. Donate blood if your area red-cross is low.
    6. Before you go, check volunteerism websites to see where your labor is needed.

    7. If you don’t have a specific productive reason to be there, stay the hell home. It isn’t a game-show or photo-op.
