Where can I join a up-to-standards karate tournament in Southern California?
Mushin No Shin asked:
I am planning on competing in karate tournaments now; however, I do not know any organizations such as JKA, ISKF, or WKF that host competitions in the U.S., and I really do not want to compete in tournaments with fighters born from McDojos…I mean, what’s the point? I am looking for a challenge.

I am shodan in Wado Ryu karate of Wadokai. Since our school is registered in Japan and Hong Kong, but not the U.S. (we are located in Southern California though), we do not get informed about events in the U.S.
I do not care if I have to compete in other karate styles tournaments such as Goju or Shotokan (that is if they allow), all I want is some challenge so I can practice my sparring. Let’s just say that a tree can get quite boring… It doesn’t hit back.

The sabaki it is held by the level of quality for open circuits or traditional karate then naska has plethora of them in sc if you also need to.
For open circuits with slap like scoring and flashy techniques then you are very close to specify if you are controlled tournaments of quality for open circuits or no contact needed if you are.
